Overview of Projects

LCIL continues to develop, build and deliver a range of projects based on identified gaps in need

Working on a local, regional and national level all of our current projects involve a partnership with statutory and other voluntary sector organisations.

Three of our current projects involve the coordination of Equality partnerships which help to inform policies, ensuring that disability and other equality strands are fairly represented.

Other projects involve more direct training and empowerment of disabled people, enabling them to participate equally, confidently and independently in everyday activities. The “Userled” and “Sustaining Switched on Communities” projects are good examples of this.

In addition to the benefits of working in partnership, the “Userled” project also draws on the experience and knowledge of a Steering Group composed of disabled people.
