An exciting opportunity has opened up at Leicestershire Centre for Integrated Living
LCIL has the following vacancies through Future Jobs fund. To apply for the vacancies you have be:

It is 25hrs per week, days and time to be arrange on appointment. All position is subjected to CRB checks.
Library/Information Officers (25hrs per week)
You will be required to re-catalogue an existing but unused library of information and use the information to create materials that will form the backbone of a new information service. The created materials will need to be made accessible in different formats i.e. Braille, audio tape, easy read etc for which training will be given. You will also work with the IT officer to upload information onto the Website as standard documents that can be downloaded for the benefit of disabled people and others.
You will also be involved in undertaking some elements of research and will be responsible for identifying and writing articles for the LCIL Newsletter and websites.
Previous experience of cataloguing information is essential, a clear logical mind but a willingness to learn ways of providing information is part of the role.
Development Officer (25hrs per week)
You will be involved in working in one of two projects either promoting the personalisation agenda which is enabling disabled people to have more choice and control over their lives – or in promoting disability equality issues through discussion and contacts with disabled people and other organisations.
You will need to have good IT skills to enable you to produce information and presentations. Both positions are ideally suited for disabled people. You will need good communication skills, confidence, drive and the ability to work with minimal supervision. You will need to be able to travel within the city and county of Leicester and Leicestershire. Experience of delivering training or facilitating events would be a distinct advantage but not essential.
The people we are seeking for these roles must be aware of the legislation relating to disabled people and or other equality areas of work or have a strong desire to gain such skills. However a commitment to the inclusion of disabled people in society is fundamental to the success of this role.
Social Enterprise Officer (25hrs per week)
The person we are looking for needs to be an Inspiring and dynamic individual who can create, develop and deliver a new social enterprise which will bring sustainability to the ongoing services.
You will need to show flair, imagination and drive along with sound business acumen. You will need to have relevant skills to research the potential opportunities that exist and cost with the support of our finance Director all required elements. You will also be required to highlight any legal implications.
You will need to be highly motivated and able to work minimal supervision. YOU will explore the ideas of the existing Directors and also speak to some of LCIL’s partners to identify possible opportunities for joint work.
You must have good IT skills and be able to demonstrate some previous activity that indicates your potential for this work.
